Another property with perfectly pleasant employees that are always willing to make change or give you directions to the restroom. GAMBLING RATING: B Excalibur's casino is very large and, quite frankly, I think it is underrated. The games are similar to those at other properties around town, but the decor is a pleasing Medieval theme and everything is well spaced out. Be warned that on the weekend, this casino gets so crowded that you can barely move. ATMOSPHERE: The Excalibur never smells too smoky, which is a welcomed change from other properties in Las Vegas. The Medieval theme is neat, and sometimes you will run into a wench or a knight in shining armor wandering around the casino floor. There has been a recent surge in the number of brats running amok along the casino's edges, however. Remember that this is a Kid Friendly casino/hotel, so prepare accordingly. And although it is owned by the same folks, it doesn't even come CLOSE to how awful Circus Circus is. OTHER: The Excalibur's wedding chapel is beautiful. Couples can even rent Medieval garb in which to exchange their vows. Skip the embarrassingly lame "dragon show" in the front lagoon at dusk. This is my vote for the dumbest thing in Las Vegas. On the other hand, if you have had a couple of those foot long margaritas next door at NY NY, I wholeheartedly recommend the Dragon Show.
