FRIENDLINESS RATING: A
Extremely nice personnel, all the way from the slot hosts to
the buffet servers. Here’s a good place to go when you want
to be treated as a very important guest. The Fiesta definitely
takes its “customer comes first” attitude from the older casinos,
like the Lady Luck.
GAMBLING RATING: B
Comparable to the other North Las Vegas casinos (Texas Station,
etc.) in size and type of games. Bingo is also very popular
here, as is the drive-up sports book (I kid you not)!!
ATMOSPHERE: C
Again, a local’s casino. Not too flashy, not to sassy, but “just
right.” This casino IS NOT located on the Strip, and is not
a place that I’d recommend for tourists -- it’s extra safe,
but the location is lousy when you want to see the sights of
Vegas. Stop by to try to buffet and play a few rounds, and then
head back to tourist country.
FOOD: D
The casino has a Mexican theme, so there are lots of Mexican
food restaurants, as well as cheap margaritas. The buffet is
just okay -- it is WAY overhyped. The Mongolian grill is disappointing
when compared to Rio’s, and the original ideas, such as a pizza
station, just aren’t that good. The nicest touch is a made-to-order
coffee bar where you can enjoy a fresh, hot cappuccino or mocha
coffee, complete with dark chocolate shavings and fresh whipped
cream.
