FRIENDLINESS
RATING: A
Probably the friendliest casino I’ve ever been in. Lady Luck prides
itself on treating the average player like a high roller--step
into the casino and you’ll feel it.
GAMBLING RATING: A
I’m giving the Lady Luck a gambling rating of A for several reasons.
First, the casino knows how to treat their players. You can sit
down with $10 as easily as $1,000 and you are treated with respect.
The limits are rock-bottom, there are rows and rows of nickel
slots, the keno lounge offers cut-rate games, and the action is
hot. Also, the Lady Luck’s funbook is the best in Vegas--make
SURE you get one of these. The offers are outstanding, from match
plays to free keychains and food.
ATMOSPHERE: F
Lady Luck is one of the dreariest casinos I’ve ever been in. It’s
old and shows its age. The coffee shop looks like a prison cafeteria,
the Keno “lounge” is just a bunch of old lime green schooldesks
out in the middle of the casino. The “snack bar” is a hot dog
cart. It’s very dingy, but not in such a bad way. The casino is
run down, but at least you can get a feel of the “Old Vegas” of
popular folklore. Be sure to check out the “Wall of Winners” by
the main cage. Also, the main customers are elderly visitors who
have probably been patronizing the place for years and years.
OTHER:
Lady Luck’s parking garage is a bit dark and dingy--I wouldn’t
feel safe parking here at night. Try parking at the Golden Nugget’s
garage instead, and walking down to the Lady Luck. I also would
not recommend staying here, but not because of the room quality--because
of the location.
